Mida Creek Boardwalk Watamu- Mida Creek is located south of Watamu and is a natural marine cove in the coast, about 5 km deep, which stands out from the surrounding nature for its fauna and flora. It is made up of labyrinths of waterways and is home to one of the largest mangrove ecosystems in the world. The warm, shallow waters of Mida Creek are also home to many birds of prey, storks, herons and pink flamingos.

There are several ways to explore the area, discovering its mangroves and the vast multitude of birds that inhabit the surrounding jungle: aboard a boat, by kayak and canoe, but also on foot.

This excursion proposes the visit of Mida Creek boardwalk Watamu on foot, crossing the “Indiana Jonas” bridge, a wooden bridge completely suspended between the mangroves and about 200 meters long which, from the mainland, crosses a part of the lagoon.
